How to fix recurring Outlook meetings that are an hour off
Microsoft’s free Exchange Online cmdlet covers single-instance meetings only; for recurring meetings it says “next version”, with no date. Changing the time zone of a series by hand resets every moved or edited occurrence. This app is built for that case.

The problem with recurring meetings
A weekly call with Seattle booked in Pacific Standard Time now lands an hour away from where it was booked. To fix it by hand the organizer opens the series, changes the time zone, and re-sends. Microsoft states that this resets every exception: occurrences you moved, edited or cancelled have to be re-created manually.
What the app does for a series
- Reads the series and every moved or edited occurrence first.
- Changes the series to the British Columbia, Alberta or Manitoba zone, keeping the same wall-clock time.
- Reads it back and re-applies any occurrence that changed.
- Lists anything it could not restore, so nothing is lost without you knowing.
- Logs the change so you can undo it for 30 days.
Limits for series
- Only the organizer can fix a series. Series where you are an attendee, where the organizer left, or where you only have delegated access go into a report instead.
- Attendees get an update from Outlook when the series changes, as they would if you edited it yourself.
First 10 events free, then $5.99 CAD one-time. All limits.

Frequently asked questions
How do I change the time zone of a recurring meeting in Outlook?
Manually, you open the series and change its time zone, but Microsoft says this resets every moved or edited occurrence. The app rewrites the series and then re-applies the occurrences that changed. Anything it cannot restore is listed for you, not silently dropped.
Should I end my recurring series and start a new one?
You should not need to. Ending and re-creating a series sends new invitations to everyone. The app updates the existing series instead.
Will Outlook fix my meetings automatically?
No. Microsoft’s guidance says existing events are not migrated automatically and that only the organizer can change an event’s time zone. Microsoft’s free Exchange Online cmdlet covers single (non-recurring) meetings only and has to be run by an administrator.
Is there a free Microsoft fix?
Microsoft has announced an Exchange Online PowerShell cmdlet, Invoke-CalendarEventMigration, for single-instance meetings you organize. It needs an administrator, works for Exchange Online only, and does not cover recurring meetings. If your administrator runs it and your meetings are all one-off, you may not need this app.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Every change is logged with the event ID and the old and new times, and you can undo it for 30 days.
